ElainesDesign
All I want to do is to create a sloped ceiling without worrying about roof etc. I was able to do this is another program by simply clicking on a wall and making a different height. I do mostly interiors, don't have to worry about the exterior for presentation of a room or closet area - or attic. Is there a simple way of doing that? I can be emailed at elainesdesign17@outlook.com - this is driving me crazy:):)

Also, there is a series of Ceiling tutorial videos under the User Center on the Chief website. Jim
tommy1
In X12, you'll need to do this with either a roof plane or a ceiling plane. In order to use a ceiling plane, you'll need to have a roof above it and remove the ceiling.
DBCooper
The simplest way to get your sloped ceiling is to let the program automatically build the roof and then open up the room dialog and turn off the ceiling. This will allow you to see the underside of the roof on the inside of your room. If it is too steep, then just change the pitch of the roof.
