offsetting ceiling material

I have a 3-planed ceiling, not really a cathedral,  I need to put T&G pine on this in the direction showed because of the ceiling framing.  How do I get this pattern to line up?  I had thought to create a new material and adjust the center plane in the direction it needed to go, BUT when I do that, all three planes change... its acting as one.  I did this ceiling using ceiling planes.  Any ideas how to align?

Michael, I think selecting for "Global Symbol Mapping" in the material definition pattern tab will get you there.

Otherwise you can create a copy of the material by changing the scoping of the adjust material definition tool to anything but "Plan" mode and you should get a prompt to create a copy of the material that you can then adjust independently of the original material.

You need to make at least 2 materials, perhaps 3 for 3 planes, just make copies of original material named   _1 _2 _3 etc etc so you can offset each plane individually ...

 

similar trick is needed for tile in a shower sometimes for the 3 different walls... (using materials regions)
