jjohnny
This has never happened before but it is now across all of my Chief files. I didn't change anything on the rendering setting but it suddenly started. I am getting this huge "spotlight" or glare in the renderings. It rotates with the camera. It also is affecting any shiny materials. Any help?

robdyck
He means the plan file. The plan file needs the be closed before posting in the forum. If the file is too big, you can zip it up, or post a drop box / google drive link.

robdyck
First I'd suggest building a roof and then checking your camera views again. Everything looks fine on my system, even without a roof. Secondly, try creating a light set to use in that camera view.
ericepv
I opened the same camera view in X16, no glare... STD: PBR Which version of Chief are you using and what video card do you have? (Please take a few minutes to complete your signature with this info as it helps us to know your system specs when trying to diagnose a problem.) ericepv
I haven't been able to reproduce your problem on my system but I did note a couple of things... - try bringing your light sources down from the ceiling (I would go with 60" to start) - also, everything is way too bright & bring down the ambient light (to much makes the scene look flat) Those are the first things I would do but I'm on a PC and not a Mac so I don't know if that makes a difference. You should just experiment with your camera and rendering settings and also the intensity of your light sources. Hope this helps - Eric
Solution ChiefTylerL Posted Friday at 07:23 PM Solution Share Posted Friday at 07:23 PM Hello @jjohnny, based off of your screenshot, it looks like this may be one of the issues we were seeing in earlier version of X16 Premier. I would ensure that you are on the latest version of X16 (26.3.0.10). You can check this in the software by going to Help> Download Program Updates. If you are running 26.3.0.10 and you still see this effect in your plan, or would like help updating to 26.3.0.10, I would recommend contacting Technical Support through the Technical Support Center. Using the Technical Support Center: https://www.chiefarchitect.com/support/article/KB-00717/using-the-technical-support-center.html I hope this helps!
