Walkthrough issues

Hi friends,

I'm working on my first walkthrough and have two issues.  One, the speed of the camera slows down when it turns then speeds up afterwards to catch up.  All my cameras on the walkthrough are set to 1ft/sec.  Two, the lights are flickering really badly.  Here's a google link to the video.

I use the walkthrough tool as a "view from a single curve" tool. If you are putting the CA camera on such a path it is a losing battle. this is a recipe for nausea and not a good way to tell the story of the space. If you want to effectively show that many spaces I would make simple camera moves along a curve and then use a video editor to fade in and out of the segments. Limit your number of keyframes, I almost never have more than a start and end keyframe. Don't cross between rooms for your curve if you can help it. Make sure you have the camera set for as many lights on as you have on the floor or you will get those light turning on or off as you cross rooms. You can also use light sets to manage this.

I like to do a circular or elliptical single camera walkaround of the exterior, same speed and at constant height (look for that setting) so the camera does not dip or rise with terrain.  Try it at different speeds to see what works best to view the details.

Also, I'll do a flyover view of each floor in dollhouse view, only two or max three drone rides, to display the feel of the moves and relationships from space to space.

Finally, I do what Alan describes above at floor levels, single dolly moves, very few camera changes, to exhibit the spaces and features in a walkthru feel, then go to the video editor to string things together with fade ins and outs between the shorts.

This presentation was a circular fly around with some titles added. You can do searches for copywrite free music. This music for this was in the public domain.  Be careful about adding music that is not in the public domain if this is for business. I use Adobe Premiere for editing.

Thanks for the suggestions Gene!
