How do I create a framed wall with a transparent (glass) layer so you can see the framing

I'm trying to create a greenhouse with visible framing members with polycarbonate over it (which I model as transparent glass).

However when I define my Wall Type whatever I specify as the framing layer in the fall forms a solid material instead of just being studs/beams.

I've been able to do this before so I know it can be done, but no idea how I did it. I flipped some or other setting and it became solid and is always now solid. I started a new test project but same thing.

Hi, you are showing Framing, Wall in your 3D cameras correct ? AND have built the Framing if not on Auto?

Did you remember to frame the wall ?

The wall was framed, but kbird1 has it right.

My 3D camera view was set to something that didn't show framing.

For crying out loud, took me 3 hours of going through every setting and like 5 tutorials on solariums and greenhouses. Stubbornly didn't want to ask because I knew it would be obvious...

Thanks!
