Ed_Orum
Before I try this, is it possible to have an "Existing Walls Saved Plan View" and another "New Walls Saved Plan View" (together with fixtures, appliances etc) so the New Walls Saved Plan View can be superimposed on the "Existing Walls Saved Plan View" thereby showing the relative positions and alterations between the existing and new walls? All of the information on the "Existing Walls Saved Plan View" would be dashed lines to differentiate between the two saved plan views. This is a remodeling job, a simple ranch home where the new plan will change some existing walls and there will be a room over the garage with interior stairs to reach the floor over the garage. If there is a training video for doing this that anyone knows of, can you please post the link? Thanks, Lane
SNestor
You cannot place walls on top of each other. You should create an "AS-Built"....then, make a copy of that and name it "New Plan". Then, using the reference display, reference the "As-Built" Plan into the new plan....or, vice-versa. You may want to create a unique layer set in the As-Built to reference in. While you can place walls on top of each by nominating one as No Room Definition, I wouldn't recommend it for more than a wall or two. Reference display is the usual way to go.
