Storefront window system

I’m trying to create an accurate store front window system. If I do three separate windows, then the middle mullions are not 2" like the rest of the frame.

If I do one window with three lights then all the mullions don’t show up on the floor plan

Not sure how to make this work. Any help would be appreciated.

Is your window separation set to 0"?

There are other ways to do this as well , pretty sure I posted on this about a year ago, I'll see if I can find it....

Mick.

Yes, the window separation is set to zero to bring them together.

Too bad we can’t size the left and right side frame separately

Here's an idea.  I think this came from one of Eric Solver's previous posts.

3 fixed windows units:

  • Sashes turned off.
  • Frames on and set to 2" wide.
  • End units have 2" wide frames all around.
  • Middle unit(s) has frame side width set to 0".

When you mull together, looks good in elevation:

and plan:

I think kind of fussy, but maybe pretty good method.

Yes, I played around with that and its not a bad idea but still doesnt give me what I want.
Thank you for trying. I think this is one of those times Im just not going to get it perfect and I have to accept it.

I added this problem to the suggestions.

I think JoeC has a suggestion for this too, and I know in 2021 I used the Framing in a Wall Definition ( Black or White Metal) to imitate this but thinking about it,

I thought it would be easier perhaps with Railings, and std. Walls,  setup to look like a Store Front, with Glass Panels and the Railing Height set to equal the Room Ceiling Height....
