Richard_Morrison
I've been exporting plans for the viewer using "Backup Entire Plan" option from files. But what this does is put the plan files in the same subdirectory along with often dozens of texture files. I don't have a computer that doesn't have the texture libraries built in, so I am wondering what options might work for keeping the actual .PLAN files separate from the texture files. Will the client viewer read textures if they are in a separate subdirectory of the plans? Is it possible to ZIP the textures into a single file which is directly readable for the client viewer? Suggestions?

MPDesign
Richard, if the textures are not reading by the viewer. are the custom made or? I would send the plan and all textures to the client in a zipped folder.
Richard_Morrison
Michael, I've been putting everything in Dropbox for the client. I'm just wondering if there is anyway to separate out the textures from the main plan and still have them work properly.
DRAWZILLA
Wish I could help you but its Greek to me, I never send any plan files out, just locked PDF's
Bill_Emery
Richard, To avoid confusion I tell my clients to first open the viewer, go to file>open; and then navigate to the shared dropbox folder. This way they will only see the plan file, and not the textures.
