SWBDesign
I've spent the last few weeks creating some custom toolbar configurations to help speed up my workflow. One of the toolbars I've created allows me to jump between my toolbar configurations, is there anyway to customize the icons for a toolbar like this? Joe_Carrick
Yes, I've done it but offhand can't remember exactly what I had to do.
Alaskan_Son
Its in the Help Files: Custom Configuration Buttons By default, new Toolbar Configurations display a default configuration ../../Resources/img/btn/defaultTBSet.png button; however, if you want you can make your own button icon for your custom Toolbar Configuration. Create a .png file with the same name as the configuration and save it in the Toolbars folder. To see an example, look at the Default .png file in the Chief Architect Premier Toolbars folder, which corresponds to the Default Toolbar configuration. See Chief Architect Premier Data. Toolbar button images must be 20 x 20 pixels in size. The color (R:192, G:192, B:192) maps to the system 3D face color. The color (R:128, G:128, B:128) maps to the system 3D Shadow color. The color (R:223, G:223, B:223) maps to the system 3D light color.

Rich_Winsor
10 hours ago, Alaskan_Son said: Its in the Help Files: The Help files seem to be out of date. Many moons ago Chief increased the button sizes from 20 x 20 pixels to 128 x 128 pixels. At 20 x 20 you only had 400 pixels to create a button image compared to 16.384 pixels at the new 128 x 128 size. You can use any image editing software to create a 128 x 128 pixel PNG image. Be aware that Chief will overwrite any edited buttons you may have created with every software update or new version release so it's a good idea to save any buttons you have made into a separate folder so you can reinstall them after updating. Here are a few before and after samples of buttons I have edited to suit my tastes. New ones on top, original ones underneath.
