Unable to remove two 5" posts where a stair landing once was

Help, community! I am building out a screened porch on the back of a house. I've removed the previous stair landing and stairs, but two 5" posts remain (that's what these two squares are labeled as when I turn on all layers). They were placed there from a LiDAR scan, not by me. Everything I try to highlight them or select them does nothing. What am I missing? Thank you!

Are they on a locked layer?

 

Posting the plan would be the best way to get a quick answer.

I was able to simply select and delete.  Not sure what might be happening on your end.

Ha. Shows that I'm a rookie. I'm stumped. What view were you in? And you used the selection tool to do that?

Not sure what this means or how you generated those posts.  They look like they are just normal framing posts as far as I can tell.  If you did not place them manually, then maybe you built a deck and the program put them in for you and somehow did not remove them when you got rid of the deck?

 

In any case, if you can't select them to delete them then the only thing I can think of is if you are using Chief Interiors which does not let you edit framing.  If that's the case, I'm not sure how you would get rid of them.  Maybe a case for tech support?
