Birdsmouth and Roof Plane Issues

Hi everyone,

 

First of all, I've worked all morning to find a solution prior to asking for help.  In my opinion, asking for help without first trying to help yourself is not an option.

 

That being said, I have inadvertently moved my two roof planes of my simple gable-roofed structure.  Being new to Chief, I'm certain i moved each plane at one point, believing I was moving something else or changing views.  Because of this, my roof planes were a mess and weren't showing properly.  I've figured out most of the issues and resolved them, yet I can't seem to find a way to have the East plane match the West plane so they meet at the ridge.  One plane shows the Birdsmouth Depth and Set under Roof Plane/Measurements at 0", while the other plane has expected values.  I can't find a difference between planes to make adjustments.  Any thoughts or suggestion?  My plan is attached, if helpful.  Thank you.

Simply delete the "bad" roof plane, select the "good" plane and hit Copy/Paste:

then click the Reflect About Object tool, reflect the new plane centering it on the building (I will sometimes use CAD objects to center to, if having difficulty getting the alignment location):

Finally, select one of the planes at the ridge edge, and use the Join Roof Planes tool to properly join the planes by clicking the ridge edge of the other plane. I like to drag the ridge edges away from the center first, if they are touching, just to make sure the program is doing the Join properly:

A easy way to identify objects with different properties is to group select the objects and have a look for any properties that say No Change or have a dash in an option box.

in this case, it appears to be the Structure Thickness - 11 1/4" for one roof and 11 1/2" for the other.
