Opening RVT files in Chief Architect X14

Not so easy.  You need to find a friend with Revit or ArchiCad that can convert for you.  Not sure there is another way unless your source has another format choice.

You could try posting here and someone may be able to help but there are a limited number of users here that use both programs.

Sorry I read that as a .rfa symbol and not a .rft plan file.

You can't.  You could export a plan from revit using a cad format, like dxf/dwg, and then import that into Chief but it still won't be a Chief model.  You could either bring it in as 2D cad that you could then trace over or as a 3D symbol that you could view.

My suggestion is to use progeCAD (Autocad alternative,  from progeSOFT) which can import a .rvt file and then export it as a 3D symbol (DXF, 3ds, STL) etc which can be read by Chief.

progeCAD can be downloaded as a full functioning trial for 30 days but it is very affordable to buy in any case and a good tool to have in your CAD arsenal even if you  no longer use AutoCAD.

I hope it helps
