Also, if you have used glass for an island (or kitchen), what was your experience with it? Did you use any LED lighting to reflect thru the glass? Joe_Carrick Posted October 18, 2022 Share Posted October 18, 2022 Scott, I used 1/2" tinted glass on an Island for a client about 2 years ago. I think you'll find that 1/2" glass (which is pretty standard for table tops) would suffice. If using LED lighting I would make the glass frosted. Clear would be a bit difficult. rcmcdougle Posted October 18, 2022 Share Posted October 18, 2022 I did a project a few years ago with a glass to for an island. The glass was 3/4" thick that was double glue chipped on the underside.
