ADallas
Most folks don't worry about excerpting a Google or MapQuest map for use as a vicinity map. But if you do worry (or you're looking for a better alternative), you might want to know about https://www.openstreetmap.org/.

Gawdzira
Thanks. Much cleaner without the pesky business names filling the field.
Designers_Ink
I started using this one that Rene Rabbitt suggested. Very clean, no business names cluttering it up like Google Maps, and really easy to just screenshot and drop into my layout. https://snazzymaps.com/style/130173/ccr-black-and-white. With it being black and white, it is also easy to add new streets for those projects in brand new subdivisions which are not on the map yet.

I like SnazzyMaps too - been using a greyscale one I adopted for Vicinity Maps https://snazzymaps.com/style/6298/subtle-greyscale-grey-roads
