How to eliminate the eyebrow eve along the face of a shed dormer?

It's a newbie question: how I should eliminate the roof "piece/remainder" crossing the face of this dormer? What is the proper method for editing a gap in the main roof line, or cutting a "pocket" into the main roof to bypass the dormer area?

Not really sure I have seen auto roof do that before but it certainly can be manually edited.  Roof planes are special and you can place a break in that section and just tear out what you don't need.

 

Or post the file and one of the experts may be able to advise how it is done with automatic settings.

If that was done with auto roofs then that wall is marked to have a return.

To all who replied, thank you for taking the time to do so.  I fixed it by using a trick where the dormer is framed using exterior walls to form a box inside the house, and work backward via the roof from there.  It worked like a charm!
