Door label - macro math

Is it normal that only some math functions work with a %width% type of macro for doors? I can get multiplication or division to work, but not addition or subtraction.

I'm trying to get the width of a barn door panel to display automatically by adding 2" to the opening width.

Any assistance is appreciated. Here's the macros I was working with in the door label.

 

%automatic_label%
%width+2% SLAB

 

%automatic_label%
%width*2% SLAB

One of the macro gurus can chime in here on how to do it, but the problem is you're trying to add 2 of what? inches? feet? mm? I know you said inches, but Chief doesn't know! Multiplying or dividing doesn't need units.

. All good! I knew why it wasn't working for you, but couldn't figure out how to get it to work either! Nothing like a good half-a** solution! Bill is in the mail with a 50% discount...

You may want to try %door_panel_width%.
