Cailin
Good afternoon, Wall patterns won't go away (brick pattern and herringbone) on 2 walls. Not sure how they got there since someone else has been helping me on the project. The eyedropper for material or object and spray or paint roller the walls, doesn't work. Opening wall objects does not show these materials in all of the dialog boxes opened...drywall is the material. I have made a custom backsplash to get rid of the patterns and that works over 60% of the surface even though I've selected the whole wall. Something is going on and I'm at a loss as to how to fully explain and have spent at least an hour opening objects. I've only been at CA for 2 years and don't work on it everyday to know all the ins and outs. Any advice? Cailin
glennw
Guess 1: Have a look for Wall Coverings in the wall dbx. Guess 2: Go to the Materials panel of the wall dbx, select the appropriate wall surface, Select Material, select Use Default Material.
Joe_Carrick
Also in a 3D view select the wall and check for a: Wall Material Region Back Splash Wall Covering I have my own rule - DONT USE PAINT because it's just too easy to get things messed up.
