Dears,

I have an error message when starting the chief architect 12 on my brand new very strong laptop.

C:\p4sync\dev\Releases\22.1\chief\source\appmgr.cpp(1120): Error #272032210

"You are using a video card that does not meet the software's minimum requirements. It is unlikely that you will be able to create 3D views."

Build: 22.1.1.1x64

Here is the config:

Graphic card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080

Processor: Intel Core i9-11980HK
Memory: 64 GB RAM
SSD: 2000 GB PCI EXPRESS SSD

DirectX 12 is installed.

I have followed this troubleshooting but it did not help:

https://www.chiefarchitect.com/support/article/KB-03140/forcing-chief-architect-programs-to-use-a-specific-graphics-card-in-windows-10.html

What do think?

BR,

Norbert

Are you using X8 (in sig) , CA 12 , or CA X12 ?

it would seem the Computer is upto the task it should be running Nvidia 511.79 and then make sure CA is using the 3080 and not the Intel

integrated Graphics Card, which I suspect is the Issue.

511.79

Is the RTX 3080 internal to the laptop or connected through the USB Connector using an external GPU?

You might try doing a full uninstall of your nvidia drivers - and reinstall

1. go to nvidia's web page, make sure you have the correct driver downloaded

1. Remove the drivers using Guru 3d' Display Driver Uninstaller version 18.0.48

2. after removing the drivers reboot

3. install the newest drivers you downloaded

4. try your CA software.
