"Cheek" wall over roof, siding not filling in

Wondering why this happens and how to fix it without turning off auto roofs.

Interior wall divides two sections of a building with different ceiling heights.

I know I can make the outside look right by running the exterior wall through the building, but I want an interior wall there.

Attached is a basic X12 file showing the issue which was made from the out-of-box Chief Residential Template, no modifications.

Thanks

Use the normal exterior Wall and the Roof Tab to set Lower Wall if split by butting Roof....

Thanks Mick. I swore I tried that but I think it was in conjunction with another setting that screwed it all up. I've used that setting before but it was escaping me.

One problem with this, though, is the plan view displays the 6" exterior wall and I need it to show the 4" interior wall. Do you know if this is possible?

Changing "Pony Wall Display" setting in Plan View Specs to "Lower Wall" shows 4" interior corner to corner:

You can break the wall at the corners and make the inner wall a pony wall to 109.125" ( ceiling height) and display only the lower wall

but I have found that also has a few quirks depending on the situation.

Yeah that didn't work for me, going from a 6" exterior to a 4" interior threw the exterior plane out, plus I had to manually edit the outer wall shape to fill in above the roof.

Ugh.

Align the Inner surface , works fine for me...... maybe I did something else along the way ? .... but as you know CA has it quirks and sometimes , even one setting being off or moving a wall 1/2" and wham....suddenly it doesn't work as expected.
