jeders
I just recently installed X6 and one of the things I tried out first was the walkthrough. When I records the walkthrough, I can see it recording in Chief Architect and it looks great. However, when I try to play it back in WMP, all I get is a black screen. I have played other .avi files in WMP and they all work fine. Has anyone else had this problem or does anyone have any ideas on how to fix it. I want to be able to send walkthroughs to clients to help them visualize the project, but I don't want to send bad files that can't be played. Dennis_Gavin
Just wondering if somehow the file got corrupted. Have you tried another player like Quicktime?
DRAWZILLA
Could be a video card problem also.
Rich_Winsor
You need to use a different Codec for walkthrough recordings. The ones Chief supplied OOB didn't work for me either. XVID is a good one. Google it and download it (it's free) and then select it in the Codec Options section in Preferences.

slwhitman
I am having a similar problem, except my AVI file is showing up white. I tried downloading XVID, but that did not solve the problem. I also noticed there there is something strange going on with 3D camera view where the image will render, but will then go blank (white) until the mouse is moved or a key is pressed to change the camera angle. Video card drivers are up to date and support Open GL 3.1.
