Adding posts for landings and stairs

I have added a landing off of the deck per code and then dropped the stairs off of that. Will chief architect auto frame this addition to includes posts? I can't seem to have to show up if it does

No.  Is the landing the same height as the deck ?  If so change the shape of the deck and it will try to add posts to that for you.  Otherwise just copy a post from the deck and position them under the landing where they need to be.

So, the same question but with x14.  Is it still something you have to do manually?    Basically copy the post and footers from the deck and place under the landing and the stairs?   Seems like they would add that automatically

Landings are designed to fit between load bearing walls so will not frame with posts.

 

A deck "landing" is actually a small deck with the elevation set to the height you want in the room dbx settings.
