buildinthevoid
So I'm in the process of ray tracing this vanity, but the knobs and pulls have bright/white shadows around them. It's not the first time its happened, I just want to know if theres a way they could cast shadows regularly.

ericepv
Add lighting sources to the scene (set as a point light) but be sure not to place them too close to the ceiling or you will get an unwanted bright spot on the ceiling. I find that 60" to 72" AFF with a 96" ceiling usually works.
Kbird1
Provide some lighting? are there recessed cans, a Bar light or sconces by Mirror ? and Turn up the Ambient Daylight and Interior Ambient under Techniques to around 48-50 to start ( I have this set in my Template now ) M. ericepv
I would suggest keeping your ambient lighting to no more than 20 pct. Too much tends to make a scene look flat.
