BAGrant
When I try to produce a 3d overview, the structure is not seen. I have to hold the left mouse button down to see the structure. I checked my layers and preferences.
Dennis_Gavin
Has to be something with your system. I would reboot and try again. If that does not fix it I would think it is your video card. If you post your computer specs with your profile information someone may know whether your video card is sufficient. You could also post the plan for others to test but I don't think it is the plan. country
Have you checked that chief is using the video card and not the integrated graphics? When I installed my new SSD all of my 3D programs needed to be reset on the Nvidia driver.

BAGrant
Not quite sure where to check if chief is using the video card. Will start hunting your solution as soon as I return to my office. Thanks
Rich_Winsor
You've probably found it by now. Check in "Preferences" down near the bottom under "Render" you will see the "Video Card Status".
country
I use the video card (NVIDIA)control panel. "Manage 3D Settings" under "3D settings" and then "Program Settings". There is a drop down list to customize and if Chief isn't on it you just click the add button, select Chief and click "Add selected program" at the bottom. I don't change any of the Global settings at this point but I'm sure some of the experienced users do some adjusting. I'm not on my office computer right now so can't do a screen shot but if you any problem I can take one later.
Solution BAGrant Posted December 12, 2014 Author Solution Share Posted December 12, 2014 I went into Preferences, under Render, then in General Options and changed Hardware Edge Smoothing to None. Thanks everyone for tour help.
