rfantclt
I have a commercial project - historic hotel renovation & addition. My plans are set up with finishes, walls, etc., based on CA library of materials. I want my Room Finish Schedule to use generic descriptions such as "cpt" for carpet, LVT, PCT, HDWD (hardwood floors), etc. What is the best way to over-ride the materials I selected in defaults? robdyck
I actually rename the materials I use to control the schedule output. ie: Carpet 1, Carpet 2, Vinyl Plank 1, Vinyl Plank 2, Hardwood 1, Hardwood 2, etc. 1
HetrickDesign
I copy the material and give it a generic name and save it in my user folder. It took me awhile to realize it was that easy lol
rfantclt
Thanks, all! I, too, decided copying a material and giving it a generic name was easiest.
lbuttery
NOTE: material list can be exported to Excel and then edited there but if any changes in Chief plan it would then be needed to be repeated Lew
