Joe_Carrick
Does an Accessory Structure such as an Equipment Storage Building have to be provided with electricity?
ACADuser
Commercial? I'll bet emergency lighting may be required.
Alaskan_Son
There are no residential requirements that I know of. And even if there are, I've never seen or heard of anything being enforced in this regard. Almost every single house I know of has an accessory/storage building (sheds, greenhouses, etc.) with no power at all.
Joe_Carrick
My client is wanting a 2 story 20'x26' (split level access from upper and lower pads). I'm planning on a 100 amp 220v panel with main disconnect. Ultimately the lower level will be for equipment storage and the upper level will be a workshop. andr0id
The only thing I can find in my Illustrated NEC is that IF you have a receptacle in accessory/detached buildings, it must be GFCI protected.
tinadelllic
How many steps with the split level? If there's a staircase you must have a 3-way switched light however there may be a certain number of steps in which that applies (ex: 4+ or more).
