print to layout quality

Can some one help me why live view detriates when you send to layout ? I want the quality of live view printed to layout and then to pdf . the same quality if you do a screen shot and send to pdf I think this is a fundamental necessity for the hole process to be able to print off acceptable drawings ! even if you set to plot options the there is still a lack of defined lines ,clarity

Without knowing the process you are using, there is simply no way to answer your question. Clearly elevations sent to layout work incredibly well, we are just going to need to know what you are doing to pinpoint what went wrong.

If not, then you should post a plan and layout that demonstrates the problem you are seeing.

 

If all else fails, then you may want to contact technical support during normal business hours.

I know exactly what you are referring to. It also drives me nuts. There is no way to preserve the high resolution of the rendering when you send it to layout or import it as an image, even if you export it in the highest resolution CA is capable of. At least none that I've found. It seems like CA compresses the image no matter what once it is sent to layout. I usually end up doing a work around using Adobe Acrobat once I print plans as a PDF using a screenshot of the plan view rendering.
