How to bring the siding up to the bottom of the roof sheathing?

Recommended Posts

I created this addition on a client's house.  I want the wall to look cohesive in my layout.  The way it looks now the siding doesn't extend up to the bottom of the roof sheathing.  I'm pretty experienced with Cheif but I can't figure out how to solve this problem.  Can anyone give me some guidance?

Not sure there is a way to tell the wall or wall material to extend into this space.

You can use a Frieze. You will need to turn soffits back on, then change their material to Opening No Material. There is also framing in the way that will need to be dealt with.

Or just use solids.

You can change the gable sub-fascia to "0" and it will go up to the top.

You could try automatic or manual Roof Blocking.

Chances are if you have built auto roof framing, the blocking is there.

Check and see if the Framing, Roof Blocking layer is turned on.
