Bill_Nelson
Hello all, I wanted to know how I can show a cross section framed wall detail for a 2-story house an attached attached garage on the side. Or can it only be done by making the cross section(s) a cad drawing? I'm using C.A. x12 thanks all!

joey_martin
Cross section camera, label, send to layout, crop to size.
Bill_Nelson
I'm trying to have the walls with the arrows drawn on them from my previous question have a final look like the framing photo I just downloaded. If the exterior wall of the garage isn't sitting under the exterior main floor(2nd story), will I need to create two separate cad details from the Wall Details, then send them to layout and stack them? Because when I use the backclipped cross section I keep getting the result showing the roof rafters from the photo below and I don't need to show the rafters. P.S. I hope I updated my signature correctly. Bill
joey_martin
Is this something someone is specifically asking for? I've been doing this a long time, and never seen a detail like that.

Bill_Nelson
No Mr. Martin. I wanted to show wall framing details for each side of the house for the General Contractor. In doing the wall framing (showing headers as well) it will unclutter my need to call out the headers in my framing plans.
