skoz44
I've been using CA for many years now and recently I started getting two odd items from Chief, that I don't recall seeing before. When I delete a wall, or move it, I get a dotted line underneath where the wall used to be and then get a little "house" icon on my cursor. I've attached a screen shot of it. This only occurs 50% of the time and the majority of those times it will disappear if I close the software and reopen. Does anybody know what these items are indicating? Thanks
skoz44
Thanks Eric; however, I'm not seeing the icon that I'm getting, nor understanding why dotted line when the wall is moved.
skoz44
You're right. It is exactly that. Not quite sure why it's there though. I will stay on the screen until I close and sometimes reappears when I reopen it. Any thoughts on the dotted line?
glennw
It is there to tell you that you need to Build Walls/Floors/Ceilings. Go to 3D View Defaults and toggle on Auto Build Walls/Floors/Ceilings - this should normally be left on. Or go to do it manually go to Build>Floor>Build Walls/Floors/Ceilings. Sounds like you are seeing a demo layer you have forgotten you added (CAD) or you are referencing the As Built Plan? Please do your Forum Signature so we know what version you are using , thanks.... different versions = different answers...
