Larry_Sweeney
I know this was a problem in earlier versions, but do we still not have a way to keep the gutters from automatically rebuilding to their original position? I move them so they don't penetrate the roof, lock them. Later I look and they are back to their original position. The gutters were acting like this back when I started using CA in 2006. If this is the way they are still behaving, then does anyone have a work around?
BryceEngstrom
You can do the gutters on any particular roof plane with a regular molding polyline and uncheck the guttter in the roof plane dbx. There may be better solutions. It would be nice if we could just put breaks in a roof plane and then have a "No Gutter on Selected Edge", the way we do with molding polylines and railings on landings. Solution glennw Posted March 5, 2014 Solution Share Posted March 5, 2014 Bryce,We have that ability at the moment. You do not break the roof plane though. The gutters are a molding polyline on the Roof, Gutters layer which is locked by default.Select that layer and unlock it.You can now select the gutter polyline, break it and check No Molding on Selected Edge. BryceEngstrom
Excellent, thanks Glenn. I had a sneaky suspicion I had run across that before, but couldn't find it again.
