Deck Framing Fix

So I've drawn up a deck on a second floor but the framing is showing up on the floor below. I feel like I am missing some small detail but I can't figure this one out.

That's a pretty common drafting standard and just the way Chief works.  Nothing else that you're missing.

So I eventually need to put a deck underneath the one there. How do I go about demonstrating the framing on the plans without the two interfering with each other?

 

P.S. - Sorry if these questions seem rudimentary

You can always use ref sets.......and......  put each deck on a different level so they do not interfere with each......  adjust elevati9n as needed

Main floor deck framing will show up on Level 0 the same as 1st floor sub floor framing will show up on top of your foundation.

 

If you need to break from common standards you can set up a reference layer to show on another level.
