ACADuser
I'm trying to turn off a layer "ADA Door Swing" of objects within a block but can't seem to get it done. Is this a setting or a limitation? The block ignores the layer state. Block Layer Test.plan
Kbird1
try ....... Unblock>turn off>reblock (if needed) Nested Blocks hold the Layer they had assigned when the block was made ......
ACADuser
I'll send a feature request. BTW I have about 10 similar blocks. Thanks
Alaskan_Son
A couple quick tips Alan, Instead of trying to turn the layer off, consider just changing the line style to the Invisible line style for the layers you don't want to see. You can optionally convert all those CAD objects to molding polylines (no molding assigned) and then create an Architectural Block instead. Then you can do what you're trying to do. ACADuser
Good tips Michael. I like the line type approach, you always surprise me with your solutions. Thanks
