Message"product key not found in online database"

I have Home designer  suite 2012 which I haven't used for a while.

When I try and install the Home designer Suite 2017 and enter the Product key I get a message saying Product Key not found in online database .

These are the details

..\source\ActivationDialog.cpp(98): Warning #272032175

"Product Key not found in online database."

Any ideas please?

If you Paid for 2017 , it would be a different "Key" than the 2012 version , so perhaps you just mixed them up? but the Keys should be in you Digital Locker too , under your Chief Architect Online Account.
