gelbuilding
How do I create a pattern file? Be nice if we could insert a map so it could match up perfectly without having to adjust anything. See material attached I don't see any .pat file to look anything like this material. Also tried to create a .pat file in PS but no luck. I see pat files in PS though cannot export them to use in CA. brick_paving_stones_decorative_001.calibz
rlackore
Chief can use any pattern file that follows the .pat format developed by AutoDesk - they are not compatible with programs that use the Adobe pattern format. There are several resources on the web that explain how to create a pattern using the .pat format. Other ways include commercial programs that will turn CAD entities into a pattern file, and AutoLisp routines for AutoCAD that will do the same. Kbird1
You could support a Countryman , there is An Australian Company which makes Hatchkit, which works well I have been told by several users who have it ... https://www.hatchkit.com.au/ for simple rectangular patterns I use cad hatch's excel based spreadsheet (free) they also have free patterns for use. http://www.cadhatch.com/hatch-pattern-generator/4588167700 http://www.cadhatch.com/home/4588167678
