Hartman
Hello, I am running x5 and am having trouble getting the materials in a pony wall to show up. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. I have pony wall checked in Wall Specification and the lower wall type with aligning pony wall with outer surface and in default display. If I click materials box, pony wall is there with two drop downs the exterior surface and interior surface. Pony wall is not mentioned here, not sure if it is supposed to be. pony wall defaults are outer surface and show lower wall. my upper wall is siding, which is the only wall that shows up in perspective view. I have the lower wall as stone, but it does not show up in perspective.

javatom
Try clicking on the wall in question. open the dbx, go to materials and tell the wall exterior to be default.
Hartman
I can get only one siding to work. The pony wall will not show the material just on the lower part and siding above.

Hartman
How do I change the upper siding on front enclosed porch above the stone without affecting the stone and siding on the main house?
Hartman
Yes, Plus the stone is flush with siding. How do you get the stone to be wider than the siding above?
parkwest
Check in dbx that “main” wall align. I believe you have exterior set to align.
Kbird1
20 hours ago, Hartman said: Yes, Plus the stone is flush with siding. How do you get the stone to be wider than the siding above? Use Align Inner Surface on the Pony Wall Settings...the Ponywall is really thick.... Assign the Porch as a Porch in the Room DBX and I think you'll get the Warning about a Deck over a Living Space to stop too.

Hartman
If anyone has advice on how to just change the siding on the enclosed porch above the stone to a different siding like vertical siding? I keep trying to change it, but it changes the main house and garage siding.
Kbird1
You need to make a copy of the Siding Wall Type and rename it , eg Siding _Vert. and then change the Siding Material to a Vertical Type from the Library, then change those 3 walls to the new Walltype.
