TKInteriors
Happy New Year! What white paint for walls gives the best result after ray tracing? I am doing a white bathroom with gloss cabinets and polished tiles. Small window and balance of light source from cans. Thank you in advance for your help. Kind regards, Tamela
Kbird1
Graham , in the "Lets Raytrace Thread" suggested using 102 Arctic (White) which IIRC is actually in the Formica Catalog under Solid Elements, in the Library . I copied it to my User Library and renamed it as my "Cabinet White".

Just change the sheen level (roughness). For the ceiling I set it between 80 - 100% for a flat finish, trims about 30% for a pearl finish and about the same for my cabinets. For gloss cabinets I would change it to reflective(X9) and might go up as high as 70%.
