joedesign30
Former autocad user of about 8 years. Now using chief architect premier X6 (has of monday). How do i get a .dwg title block into a chief architect layout? How would i use my existing autocad block in cheif architect drawings?
Gawdzira
You can import .dwg into a chief file. For the layout I would import the .dwg into a plan file and then send that plan file to layout. This is not the best way to deal with the title block. If it was me, I would use that plan file info in layout to trace in layout to create the title block cad lines in the layout file. Solution DavidJPotter Posted July 25, 2014 Solution Share Posted July 25, 2014 I would import the dwg into a "CAD Detail Window" so it would be isolated there for editing and then send to layout from there (I do not like to clutter up my plan view with imports unless I import the AutoCAD layer names so I can lock or turn those on and off at will.
