I have searched the help videos and can't find anything on this application, here is what I am trying to do. Gawdzira Posted July 24, 2014 Share Posted July 24, 2014 Don't use floating dormers. Just cut the roof back and put in manual roof planes for the dormer. The dormer side walls will be attic walls. ebdesign Posted July 24, 2014 Share Posted July 24, 2014 If you want walls to the floor & room defs, use a normal dormer; if not, use a floating dormer. Shouldn't matter. Size & position your dormer, then explode it, find/select/delete the "hole in roof" polyline & edit the main roof plane around the dormer cheek walls & dormer roof planes.
