Daphne617
I have been struggling to print a plan that I am working on. Anytime I print my smaller plans on letter everything goes smoothly. This is a larger plan and I need it to print on 11X17. I have everything set right as far as I can tell and have added the layout template to make it more professional. My problem is that once I send the plan to the Layout template, the layout template itself will not print. If I print it by itself it does not fill the entire paper. I purchased a large format printer after having absolutely no luck sending files to my printer for her to print. Everything she printed came out very grainy. Here are screenshots of what I am seeing. This is with my drawing scale and printer both set to tabloid, landscape. The white part is all that will print. The profile is with my layout saved. The RV plan is what I am trying to print. It is very grainy and the text is not readable at all. I can't upload the RV plan at this time. It is too large. I am uploading the files that I am working with as well. Thanks for any and all help. I have never used CAD before and had to get it for this job. Daphne Profile HOME DESIGNER.layout Profile HOME DESIGNER.layout

The white part is all that will print. That's correct. The white space in the layout shows the sheet size - the portion that will print. The blue border is the print margin. Copy/paste your titleblock from Page 1 to Page 0, then scale/re-arrange the titleblock to fit within the sheet size (the white space); this isn't absolutely required, but anything placed on Page 0 will appear on every other page, so it's a good place to put your titleblock. Then go back to Page 1, switch to the plan file and Send to Layout with a scale of 1:100. Now you're ready to print. n.b.: I use Chief Premier, not Home Designer, which may work a bit differently. SusanC
Hi, There is a forum dedicated to Home Designer that might be more helpful for you than this forum since you are working in Home Designer. Please see attached screen shot for location. Good luck!
lbuttery
Daphne: use the Hometalk forum but you may also benefit from following the Chieftalk forum as HD PRO has many manual tools like Chief Premier does and those tips/tricks may be helpful to you Lew
