parkwest
I just watched this video and thought it was interesting. They used an iPad to scan a room and got the measurements in about a minute.
johnny
Yeah its a great tech - especially if you do a lot of remodel or interior design. Almost a must have....though am curious how easy it is to work with the scanned files.
parkwest
One step closer to my dream of turning on the computer, then go golfing and come back at the end of the day to see that the computer has done all the work and a whole subdivision has been built... and the money is in the bank. DRAWZILLA
I have checked in to this and it only does 1 room at a time , there is no stitching process yet so I can't use it. .https://canvas.io/
woodcraftdesign
I assume chief is on board with getting this technology integrated in the future. Our turnkey projects, kitchens, bathrooms, basement finishes for interior renovation would be a great application for this tech. Looks like google is driving this towards sketchup. I wonder how fast this would be to scan an entire un-finished basement. Would it be faster to just measure? If anyone is using this and integrating with Chief we would appreciate hearing about it.
