sharpe_c 0 Posted March 1, 2017 Greetings, I am trying to create a couple of non- load carrying walls in a front poach area for decoration around a post to give the post a tapered look.. to go from 24" wide to bottom to 12" at top on one side, over 9-10'... any ideas of how to do this?? rlackore 403 Posted March 1, 2017 Truncated Pyramid. It won't give you framed walls, but Chief doesn't do battered walls, so you'll have to use some kind of work-around.
solver 1580 Posted March 1, 2017 We could be more helpful if you could give us a visual. Like Robert said, some type of solid will likely be the answer. This shows a Truncated Pyramid with the center removed. Used to wrap around a corner.
rlackore 403 Posted March 1, 2017 You can also use molding polylines for this sort of work, such as with this custom tapered porch column:
javatom 131 Posted March 1, 2017 Go to the library under millwork - columns. There is a tapered one made already.
rlackore 403 Posted March 1, 2017 Just now, javatom said: Go to the library under millwork - columns. There is a tapered one made already. Yep. Unless you need something custom, which is when building it from moldings is useful.
