Clemsongrad
Perimeter footings and thickened slab down the center in the long direction. My friend asked me to give him a simple drawing for his contractor to get a price. I thought I'd just draw the slab, not the house above, but ran into several issues. 1. The perimeter footings aren't chamfered back to the slab. 2. I don't know how to get a thickened slab down the center. Would it be better to draw the house above and auto generate the slab on grade? How do it get chief to make me a thickened slab? Thanks Larry
glennw
Use the Slab Footing tool (Build...Wall...Slab Footing) for both the perimeter and central footings. If you draw an enclosed space, you will get the slab and footings including the chamfer
Clemsongrad
I'm getting somewhere with your ideas, but it's drawing more than a slab. It shows walls above the slab I don't know how to eliminate. Plus insulation?
Clemsongrad
I made the ceiling 0" high and the walls went away. but there is a lot of extra lines drawn still. Other than a simple slab. Hmmmm...
glennw
In a blank plan. Build a Foundation. Draw your footings on the foundation level (level zero)
