zowie123 29 Posted November 29, 2016 Hi All, After shopping around, I think this repository of cad details is pretty comprehensive and clean: autocaddetails.net (I'm not afiliated with them and if anyone knows of a better CAD detail library, please share with me). They offer pdf and dwg. It would be faster for me to use the dwg. However I need a way to preview these dwgs as high res thumbnails. Windows explorer will only show them as low res thumbs. Does anyone know a better way to preview dwgs as high res thumbnails? Or is there a windows tweak to get a higher res dwg thumbnail in windows explorer? Thank you, Barry

rlackore 407 Posted November 30, 2016 DWG TrueView from Autodesk is free and you can view and convert dwg/dxf. This isn't an integrated Windows Explorer solution, but it's very useful. I don't know for certain, but there's a chance that installing TrueView will also install whatever's needed to preview in Explorer (I can't test this because I have a bunch of AutoDesk products installed besides TrueView, but I've read elsewhere on the net that this is true).
