Trouble understanding how porches affect walls and siding

I've built a 100' x 76' metal building. I put a front "porch" on with with lower roofs and a heavy timber truss with columns and pilasters.

 

I need to create two wrap around porch/slabs with railing and roofs overhead. Every time I try, the wall coverings change and weird things happen.

 

So I built the wrqp around porches away from the building and then moved them in place. The same things happen.

 

Very confused.

Also try pulling the roof plane away from the building as it may have cut into the siding.

After seeing what happens when you pull the roof edges away from the walls, edit them back exactly to the outermost surface, which is the outside face of your siding layer.

 

Not how you build a roof for real, but it is what you need to do in Chief with roofs abutting walls.
