shanecarman
I just upgraded to Chief Architect 8 from version 7. The sunlight is driving me crazy because it makes half my plan dark and the other half light when in 3D. I have used the sunlight tool that follows the camera and that is better but I wondered if there is a option to just have equal sunlight throughout the plan like I did in version 7. I attached a picture of the sun settings and what the plan looks like. The color of the walls I chose looks much brighter in the selection panel. Thank you for your advice! rlackore
No picture attached. But in the meantime you could check Default Settings>Camera>Generic Sun>Intensity, or Default Settings>Camera>3D Views>Lighting Options>Daytime Ambient. Dermot
The biggest difference between X7 and X8 is the shadows. If you turn off the shadows, it should look more like what you are used to.
shanecarman
Thank you! Looks much better now. I like the shadows for final projects, just not when editing things.
Gawdzira
Bump up your exterior ambient with shadows on and see if you like it.
