I've just encountered this issue with Miele appliances and the cut out.

 

Any idea on when that will be fixed?

You can fix it yourself as well.  Make a copy of the symbol.   The 2D CAD block, when exploded, will contain a polyline that is a countertop hole.  Adjust that to the cutout you need, reblock, and apply that CAD block to the copy of the symbol and save.
