I have now spent my first 100 hours with X8, and are very pleased with my choice.  I have 15 years experience with AutoCAD, so I need to "reset" my brain, but fortunately there are plenty of traingsvideoes +++.

 

I really have tried to find the solution to this problem, but I'm stuck. Hope anyone can help.

Tough to know without plan but I have a guess.  You may have a 2nd floor in play at that point.  If so, tell the room definition to be "open below".

I have uploaded the plan now (to my own domain, with link. See above. Couldn't see any other way to do this..)

Arnstein,

 

In the structure dbx, uncheck ceiling over this room and set the second floor above to 'open below'. I also set the wall framing to balloon though ceiling above.

 

Looks like setting that second floor to open below might be enough.

 

The answer to your second question is most likely yes.
