  1. I did this mostly with the auto roof planes. I had to turn off the "Gable End Wall" button in the garage wall dialog box though. Andy.
  2. I have not found that to be the case when I work with LA County so far. Maybe that it is the because I have so far only dealt with the county offices in La Puente. Andy.
  3. An albedo roof is one with a high solar reflectance. Many roofing materials manufacturers make roofing materials with higher rates of reflectance and the materials are installed in the exact same manner as other roofs. Why would you ask a question like this on a cad software forum anyway? You might try a DIY site instead. Andy.
  4. Yes, thanks to both of you. Andy.
  5. That is the question, I can't find anywhere that it does. Andy.
  6. You could do something like this if it is acceptable to the AHJ. Andy.
  7. I am old on this software it can it to be to chaffing on the undergarments in pursuit to the in making of the Apartments for the houses to building proper of the lands correct? Dong Chow Pieng.
  8. In answer to your question...uh...yes? Andy.
  9. Hi Bill, thank you for your response. I think I have it set up correctly, I was able to figure out how to display my line weights in ACad and other Cad programs but I find that in all programs the line weights are of only two varieties/weights. Either the line is 0.0 line weight or 0.09 weight. Very strange. I have it set to allow for ACad index color/weight etc. but still it just doesn't seem to work very well. I shall continue along as best I can for now. Andy.
  10. When I export a line drawing from Chief to a DWG file and open it up in any Cad program other than Chief there is no weight to the lines. Anyone else experience this? Here is a typical DWG. from Chief. If for some reason this is a bug in Chief I am seriously going to consider going to another program. Thank you. Andy. Riser and wall practice, rev a.zip
  11. Are these "nano doors" doors that are about one billionth the size of normal doors? Just messing with you a little. Andy.
  12. Well I screwed the pooch on that one. Quite right Joe and Glenn, no rooms on attic levels. Andy.
  13. Actually, if you de-select the "no room definition" button of the wall DBX for the attic walls on the A level then you can define it as room. I don't know if this will help you but it is there. Andy.
  14. Corel X7 will open Corel X6 files too. Andy.
  15. You can not bring the file into Chief directly unless you convert it into a DWG as you stated or perhaps an image file like a PNG, size the image using Chief's tools then trace over it. Andy.
  16. I think he is from Costa Mesa and his name is David Michael. Ha ha. Andy.
  17. Terrific, what is the information used for? How is it used? Who uses it? Thank you. Andy.
  18. Bloody expensive if you ask me. I was giving it some thought but I just can't justify about $2k for the i7 CPU with 8 GB mem. and 256 GB SSD. So I ended up getting a refurbed Insperon with a Pentium chip, 4 GIG mem. and 500 GB HDD. It is a bit slow but I use it for convenience on site, building the base model while taking measurements. It folds up 180 deg. so I can use it like a tablet, has Windows 8.1. The awesome thing for the Surface is the smart pen that comes with though. I would love to have something like that for my Tablet/Note Book Insperon. Very handy for much less money than the Surface Pro. Andy.
  19. I am curious as to what the information is used for. Other than the obvious sq. footage area for calculating roofing material. Can framing be calc'ed using this? Do the trades want you to calculate materials for them? Andy.
