  1. Perry, No it doesn't have the camera. I found it much easier to do the measuring inside. Bounce the Lazer off walls. Don't need a target. I do use a tape measure to measure the foundation as a double check for my interior dimensions. I also use a Camera Tripod to hold my Tablet while working inside. Keeps it at the right height and off of home owner's furniture while inputting the data. Jon
  2. Scott, I have the Distro D330i and love it. It has the auto leveling and Bluetooth. Nice small size. Easy to handle. The Distro D330i lists for around $379. However, I purchased it from FLT GeoSystems back in November 2012 for $299.95. I use it to measure existing buildings and input the dimensions manually on site into my Tablet using Redstick Cad Pro. The Distro and Redstick Cad Pro have the ability to input dimensions using Bluetooth. However, I found it just as easy to do it manually. Redstick Cad Pro is available for the iPad. Jon
  3. Jean, In X6 you can go into Default Settings, Walls, Pony Walls and near the bottom Display in Plan. Uncheck "Hide Openings in Non-displayed Parts of Walls" See if that works. Jon
  4. As Perry said. For detailed instructions, go to Support, Knowledge Base, number KB - 02208 Jon
  5. OK here is what worked. Change the layer "Walls, Foundation" to a dash style. Uncheck "Use Edge Line Defaults". Jon
  6. Joey, That doesn't change anything either. Still solid. Jon
  7. Michael, That changed the wall outline in elevation view to dash. But in layout the lines are still solid.. I thought that the layers "Footings" & "Foundation" were where you changed the line style.
  8. Michael, Could you list the steps you took to get this to work? In advance. thanks Jon
  9. Curt, Thanks. But that thread is more about using a polyline with a white angle hatch. Which I have been doing for years. This new X6 feature worked for me in Beta, Not working now. Jon
  10. When sending an elevation to layout, I can't get the foundation to display non-solid line styles. I have a dash line selected for the layers Footings & Foundation prior to sending to layout. I am able to go to layout and using the "Edit Layout Line" tool and change the lines to dash. Am I doing something wrong or is this feature broken in the latest update? Jon
  11. Thanks Perry & Glenn, I have been using the Polyline with angled hatch for many years. Wanted to give the new method a try. Jon
  12. Drawzilla, How do you get the dashed foundation lines in X6? Jon
  13. RCarter, Please sent in to Tech Support. The more people that send in the problem, the better chance they will fix it. Jon
  14. RCarter, I recently had the same problem using X6. I also see it happen in X5. I moved the ends of those lines you are talking about and the problem went away. The problem looks like the footing isn't generating correctly. Are you using a Pony wall? Jon
  15. Tommy, I too use the %Scale% macro as you do. Jon
  16. If you are up to date with X6, you don't need to redownload. Just grab the product key from your digital locker and insert into the dialog box. Jon
