No not really unless your are trying to do too much with the SPs. Almost all of my SPs are only set to copy face config and user defined object info fields. There is no need for dimensions on most cabinets. As to accessories, when I was a KD I kept at most half a dozen with specific accessories and a couple with appliances that I used all the time. Many of those did require a specific size for what I used most so included that. But sizing is too easy to change to clutter the library, will start to be like 2020.

Setting the face of the beaded is where the time is but then again those are set so that you can change door style by drag and drop using scoping. Split also works well with them.

Now I have 5 different types of beads and those don't change by drag and drop but 3 of those I never made SPs for. SPs got useful after I stopped being a dealer and very few companies offer those other beads, have not had a call for them but I do have a warehouse plan with them.

The larger issue was keeping 3 brands with 3 lines each. But then again I mostly used 4 lines total.

The way I look at stuff like this, work arounds, is it a net savings in time- I could set each front to also have a left and right finished side but sides are easy- match front, change to custom face, change from door to panel so no SPs for that.  Then how often do I need this (is it worth setting up or just a bee in my bonnet Finally is there a different reasonable alternative, or something else- "I want this, program does that, what else does program do that I can use" For instance I asked for independent drag and drop finished sides back in the user panel for X8. Still don't have it and auto finish still does not work properly. So I have an object information field for sides to use in schedules. It's not automatic but it contains every possible side finish code for both left and right. I either just delete all the entries or all but the one I need-faster to delete than type and can do it at just prior to ordering. Worst case is I left them all and get a call from the maker

It already works for beaded inset. That's how I've done beaded since we got style palettes; as well a few other oddballs (which do include side adjustment) along with most all cabinets with mods or accessories. All include the object info fields where I keep info for accessories,other mods, and labels. I rarely use SPs for is sides since we can't split them out but I have a few.

Once you get how well they work the worst part is keeping all of them organized in the library

Yes and no. Usually are part of the "face configuration" but no since that saves the entire face config. It would be nice to have separate, as would having sides and back separate. But better than a sharp stick in the eye.

Why not make the symbol from a bifold door to begin with. Set as fixture interior, inserts into wal, rotate symbol. Add a door way. Still need two symbols on seperate layers but ...

You can do it using Edit area- one story is not too bad but you can also import plan views by selecting a plan and default sets that you export from plan to go with them. This is often easier than moving the building. Note you want to replace duplicates NOT rename or it gets messy. 

To do what you ask- first import defaults if applicable, then check structure settings (they don't import) I also always check the roof defaults and any wall overrides to roof. 

Unlock and dsiplay all layers that you want,then edit area all visible, select, copy, paste and hold position.

Well that is faster, but there is no plastic on the product from RAS and rectangle bin has no divider but there is a lip around it.

If you place a 3/4" thick panel, FLUSH inset into. 3/4" thick side it would naturally appear flush, right?

So then if you were to recess it some would protrude into the cabinet, right?

Ergo create a thinner panel and offset the Y origin, save to library.

Yeah. Odd, had this happen 4 seperate times yesterday. Fist time figured it was pilot error, by the 4th was annoyed. Opened up same plan this morning intending to record, did exactly the same operations as yesterday but no longer happening. Don't know what or why but happy about it.

Alter a symbols stretch zones, resize the symbol, click ok. It automatically gets added to the library as a new symbol. Problem is that the new symbol retains the stretch zones.

When making generations of a symbol this is a pain. Have to delete that, click the one in plan and make it a new symbol to have it start with fresh stretch planes.

Is there a way to turn this off? I can see no reason I would ever want this to happen, just dumb IMO.

Use two cabinets- one with side as opening, overlap them a bit.

If you need the look of having a door frame on the face then make a door symbol from a shelf, change Y origin so it can be inserted into the back of the cabinet.

There is a difference if you work primarily from the User Catalog as the OP does, and I do. 

When accessing the library from a DBX in X14 and you have a saved filter in use  that filter applied. Image below the User Filter was on prior to opening DBX

There is a down side to that if you don't know how the filters work -if the object currently listed in the DBX is not found with the filter on you won't see it. I suppose this could be a problem for some newbies? 

X15- the saved filter is dropped completely in favor of what the program has decided for you, your saved filters are not accessible in that DBX all of which leaves you to rummage around or use the start clicking your way in the  search.

After placing light on floor below....

Take a back clipped section through the side and a 3d cutaway so you can see directly. Set them up side to side so you see both.

Transform replicate to get the light in the general area but below the ceiling you want.

Get the position left to right and front to back in the space ( in floor plan using reference display)

Go to section

Measure the angle of the stairs/ceiling. Open light symbol rotate on the X axis 90 so it is vertical click ok (easier to use the angle you measured.)

Then open symbol again, rotate x axis again this time using the angle you measured (in the case of what I show it was Minus the angle.

Use tape measure tool to see how far the edge is from the ceiling

Transform replicate to move the light on the Z axis using the dimension you measured.

I started with a cabinet, but you can also just make a custom counter. Add molding, remove from edges where not wanted. Did not have a quick oval drop that inserted to dropped in plan, altered size. Added ellipse, shaped  to match tub, used that to make hole in counter. Move tub

Should add I adjusted tub a smidge.

Use a countertop instead. Add the molding, adjust position, remove from selected edge anywhere you don't want the molding.

For that tub they have rfa (Revit) symbol. Download that then the options are:

Install trial version of Revit light, or rent Revit light by the month. Last I knew you can rent by the month, then stop and re-activate later. It's been a while since I did that so check. 

Once you have the RFA file open you can export it, more info and a link to supported file types

FWIW I went to site to look into just hacking the lavatory faucet which I've done with others.
